The annual Founders’ Day Service of Thanksgiving was held on Saturday, 17 February 2018, followed by a celebratory High Tea in the Back Garden, a venue which holds fond memories for all of us. The theme of this year’s service was ‘Love God, Love All’ and Mrs Christina Navaratnam delivered a meaningful sermon to the congregation. The OGA choir, directed by Sureka Amarasinghe, performed Benedicamus Domino as their customary anthem. Following the service, guests gathered in the Back Garden for an evening of camaraderie and a delectable tea, including scones baked by the committee members and their friends. Guests lingered on, chatting to their friends, even as darkness fell, and we take this as a sign that our guests thoroughly enjoyed their evening in our beloved Back Garden.
